Once a doctor or clinic has signed up
for Call Your Pediatrician, they need to get the word out to their patients. What we
suggest, is giving out the Web address for your own Web site home page (we do offer this
service for free for a limited time) and then having a link directly to the Illness
section of Call Your Pediatrician. If you want to have E-mail capability, this can be
linked directly to your personal Web site home page.
A sample flyer and a press release that we have used are
provided. Put the flyers in your waiting room, exam rooms and where your patients
check-out. You may send the press release to local newspapers, hospital newsletters in
your area and let them know you are now offering this service.
Provide an in-service for your staff and any triage staff
that frequently answers the phone. Parents may appreciate being able to get some immediate
information, rather than waiting for a phone call from the office.
